Learn HTML Code Tutorial Reference Guide

Recommendations

These recommendations are not from the author, Miko, but from the administrator, Roel.

I have not recommended anything that I haven't used myself, except where noted.  If you are using this website, you probably like to learn from examples just like I do.  The fastest way for me to code HTML is to cut and paste examples, with modifications from information found in a reference-type manual.  Hopefully you like to learn the same way and will find the following resources helpful.  (I've given links to Buy.com, which I've found to be the cheapest.)

HTML Editors HTML Books HTML Help
Free
1st Page 2000 - An extremely popular, old but powerful editor that is overdue for an overhaul.
Arachnophilia - A light HTML editor that is highly rated on CNET.

Paid
FrontPage 2002 - This is the tool that I use for editing HTML.  I don't use most of the features and do most coding by hand.  But it's nice to use the WYSIWYG interface every so often and see a quick preview. ~$150

Dreamweaver
- Now I've never really tried this out, but it is the most highly rated editor on the market.  And much more powerful than FrontPage.  ~$350

HTML Goodies - This is the first book I purchased in my quest to become an internet guru.  It is a great beginner's book.

HTML 4 Unleashed With CDROM - I purchased this book a little later when I needed a powerful reference.  It includes tables for all HTML tags.

Check out our free HTML Help.  It's a forum where you can help other web designers with their questions.

Paid
Keen - Call experts immediately for help at ~$.75 - $2.00 per minute.
Support Freaks - These people will help you out with your HTML questions for $30 per hour.
Tech24 - Your expert helps you directly on your computer, and the download lets your expert see your computer screen, and share your mouse and keyboard. $14.95 per session - no time limit.
Domain Names and Hosting Making Money Other Languages
$8.75 Cheap Domain Registration - This is the cheapest place to purchase domain names on the web.  They also offer cheap hosting and free forwarding.

One of the easiest ways to make money with your website is to join affiliate networks and promote the products of other sites.  The three best and largest affiliate networks are: Javascript
irt.org - The best online FAQ for Javascript.  I use it all the time.

Perl
Perl Cookbook - An excellent advanced example book from O'Reilly.
The CGI/Perl Cookbook With CDROM - An oldie but goodie for complete working scripts.  I purchased this book for the password protection script.

Java

Java Examples in a Nutshell - A very extensive Java example book from O'Reilly.
