force google to refresh their data base about my site

I just update all my site, and my pages dont have the same name than before !
I also use a google tool in my website to seek only into my website.

The problem is that google do not seek my new pages but only those who doesnt exist anymore.

Do you know how I can force google to update their data about my website ?

XML Sitemaps have been known to work but usually Google will do it when they have their systems programmed to do so

I resubmitted sitemap to google two weeks ago. still not indexed yet. I eager to know how long it will take.
