main thing is get your onpage seo squared away with unique meta data: titles/descrip/tags. After that you will want to begin to build popularity/rank by getting backlinks to your site from various sources such as directories, social bookmarking, and articles.

At first you must know what's the nature of the business or site that your going to SEO. then research the necessary keywords that you can relate the niche (topic) of the site you are working on then On Page Optimization is going to come in then after that off page.

I've also just a newbie when it comes to SEO techniques and procedures. I've been doing it for a month, and all the things that I've learned just come here on the internet. I just research articles and blogs that write about SEO practices, and if you really aim to learn, it's not that hard to know the basics, though SEO is a much complicated for starter, but it's fun if you put your mind and heart in it.
