|

I want to split a rectangular picture into four equally sized pieces using "image mapping" and combine with a "rollover script" so that the full image changes depending on wich part your rolling over?! Is that even possible?!
I have looked at the different tutorials regarding these two techniques but can't figure out how to make them work together.
The thought occured that if I cut the full picture (w photoshop or other program) into the four different parts and pieced them together on the page I could make the rollover script work seperately for each seperate part of the picture. But I'd rather not do that....:-P |

Yes you can.
You need to name the image then use javascript to tell what image to change when you rollover the certain part of the map.
Here is an example from Dreamweaver
http://www.degs.co.uk/test/hct/rollover/multi.htm
You can ammend that code or use it to workout the basic javascript coding.
Also check here for basics on rollovers
