Hi my name is Phil. I would like someone who really knows how to code to recommend a book. When I say knows how to code all I mean is advanced. The reason for this is I was a Sys Admin on Sco Unix platform and I wrote shell scripts. So I do not want a book that is to basic but will introduce me to html and let me do the work. Please dont take this as cocky because I do not know html, but I have a good learning ability so i will need some meat along with it so to speak. One of my tasks is to create a myspace page for my band that looks professional. We have record labels from time to time who check out our page and Im very unhappy with it it looks basic.
I want to be able to customize my page and also learn other aspects of html/css and whatever else you think will be good for me. Thank you all for your time.

MySpace doesn't use HTML that meets HTML 4.01 Standards and I doubt if they have ever heard of CSS2.1.
Your best bet is to browse the HTML/CSS books at Amazon.com and pick one(s) you think will work for you.
Nice start for a band page:
