For a shoppping cart, you will need a server side language (ASP, .NET, PHP) and a database (MSSQL, MS Access, mysql). There are already a number of carts available for you to purchase and there are some carts that are free.

You might check out hotscripts for some ideas and solutions.

Yahoo has a solution as well that can be good for beginners and but it is limiting when you want to change things. Usually it is better to have a cart that you host so you can always have the data yourself.

Check out Magento Commerce and CS-Cart.

Magento is free and very good. CS-Cart is not free, costs ($200) but can be used right out the box with little technical knowledge.

Godaddy is the place to buy domain names.

good luck in your search.

Try to avoid osCommerce and Zen Cart, tacky coding, out dated.
