| Can someone give me a javascript code that verifies if a link is valid or not. For example: I insert a URL and then i get a little message if the URL is valid or not but not a dialog box. |

Why not use the w3c.org's Link Checker tool? Or, if you use a good browser like Firefox, it has an Link Checker add-on that can be used.
Other options:
Automatic Link Checker script
LinkChecker
valid link!
