I have a webpage which consists of an irame element located at the right side of the page. The iframe is meant to display links which will change the whole page's content (i.e. refresh) when clicked. However in this iframe, there are two types of links. Picture this, the iframe is divided into two parts, the top has 3 links, under this row of links, there will be subcategories. When clicking on one of the 3 links, the subcat elements under it will change. This ONLY refreshes the content in the iframe. Then when I click one of the items in the subcat list, the WHOLE page should refresh.
So far this works fine, but there is one small problem which I believe can be solved. Let's say the default content in the iframe displays subcat of A, with A being highlighted. I click on B, then B will be highlighted and displays the related subcats. When I click on one of the subcats under B, the whole page refreshes and displays the new content. This is fine, but the iframe will display category A again. This is inaccurate, as I'm currently in category B.
Is there a way to solve this problem? I want to maintain the content in the iframe when the whole pag is refreshed. I'm not too sure of what approach I should take in solving this relatively simple sounding problem.
I apologise if I sound a little bit too long-winded here. Just want to give the clearest picture possible of my current problem.
Thanks for your help! |
