Do you have the database set up correctly?
If your using that tutorial, one thing it does not tell you is where to use this code
Code: CREATE TABLE users (
username varchar(30),
password varchar(32));
It can be done manually or by inserting this code in a file with the extension .sql. You can use phpmysqladmin to import this file (or manual set up) and it will create the table and fields for you. If the database does not have this table set up, you can connect to the database but cannot do anything else.
example db.sql
Code: CREATE TABLE users (
username varchar(30),
password varchar(32));
PRIMARY KEY ('username')
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 COLLATE=utf8_unicode_ci; |
