I don't really have a clue what I'm doing, but I'm trying to install CuteNews onto my Freewebs site.

I heard using an FTP server to upload a lot of files to your server is easier and what you're supposed to do.

So, I followed the advice and went to download FileZilla. There were a lot of different versions of FileZilla so I wasn't sure which one to pick. I picked the most current version one released on February something.

Anyway, I don't know if I got the right version, but I installed it.

It seems like the installation was sucessful, but the options in the top menu are limited. The only options in "File" are "Connect to server, Disconnect, and Quit."

I can't find where you set up your website settings, or how to upload files and I don't know how.

It says I'm connected and all, so what do I do?

Try connect to server. You can then enter the information as provided by your hosting provider

You'll see that Filezilla is split into two halves. The left half is all the files on your computer, the right half is the files on the server. When you're connected to the server you should be able to see the files that are currently on your account. Then all you need to do is navigate through the files on your computer (on the left side) until you find your website stuff, then double click the files and they'll upload to the server.

Who are you hosting through? A lot of hosts have great control panels set up for their customers
