opening php page in Publisher 2007

Hi,
I created a simple html page in MS Publisher2007 and then added a couple of simple 'php' code in 'Dreamweaver' and saved the page as .php
But, when I tried opening the same .php page in MS Publisher, the code opened in it, not the design.
How do i open this .php page in Publisher so that i may modify my design?
