How To Make Border on Container

How do I make the borders like this page: http://www.adecco.com/Channels/adeccoNewVI/home/home1.asp

On the left and right of the main content are bars that fade. Just wondering what the code for my layout would have to be or how do I do this in CSS?

You can use Onion Skinned Drop Shadows.

I was looking at this the other day. If you have photoshop or something similar, draw the whole page, add a shadow to it all round, then trim the very bottom where the corners and shadow are, and trim in the middle of the container a small slice, with this slice you repeat it for your container as a background image. Onions skins I find a little complicated but maybe you done it.
