Does anyone know the coding to get a search form on my site just a box with a button. To search my site? I have google but would rather not have them. But all the scripts I find has the link to who made the search form, so I wondered how search forms are made, many sites have them with out the makers on them.

There are loads of free search engines which you can install on your site. That way you put the relevant code on your website and point your form at it. You can then do what you like with your search form.

what do you mean? I searched for free search forms and cannot find any that have no name attached to it. Do you have any links?

What server side language does the server support? If it is ASP check out ASP Search Scripts. Hotscripts is a pretty good site in locating some server side scripts.

Usually most searching scripts that you do not pay for will have some type of link back to their website - so that website can make money or get more clients.

Atomz Search is one that I used to use a few years ago.

OK thanks for clearing that up. I did think that there was a code for adding a search engine to search ones own site. But there is not, only scripts, until I know more I may as well stay with Google as the Atomz put ads on site too. Dont know nothing about ASP or stuff like that.
