Doubt in using div tag

Hi
I am new Html code tutorials.
My question is
I have a table which downloads datas from database , i want to highlight search keywords in the table..i gave div tag before the table,table contains th for table head,and td for columns.
my problem is, keywords are highlighting both in columnheading and rows too...but i want to highlight only in rows not to heading...div tag is working only for table tags...

i created one more table for retrieving rows and assigning column heading,and i gave div tag before the table which i assigned for rows....but the total structure of the table is changed...table widths are corrupted...
any help!!

Could you post a URL or the code you are using so we can have a look?

Table width "feels" which width the upper container delivers.
So, if You put a table inside a table, You have to assign both them WIDTH="100%" to cover full screen with the inside table too.
