This is one area where my know-how is severely lacking.

I'm designing a site which makes heavy use of php and include files, generating URLs which are ugly...but more importantly they're not terribly spider-friendly.

I know this can be done using .htaccess (the site is on a LAMP server), but I need some help.

I'd like this URL:
http://www.example.com/index.php?<somekeyword>

to look like this:
http://www.example.com/<somekeyword>

I've tried working from some examples I've seen but what's happened is I'm more confused than before (if that was possible! thing is, i hate regex...but that's another story).

Anyone wanna have a hack?

Thanks in advance,
-Ray
