Hey, I am in the process of adding water marks to images I have created. For thumbnails a simple text line with my url is being used. Now for larger images i can not decide:

a) Tiled water mark of my logo
b) large center water mark of my logo
c) Small watermark in corner of my logo
d) Small text of site name & url at the bottom of the image

What do you lot think?

I wouldn't think you would have to watermark at all unless your image is copyrighted and is an original piece of work that is for sale. Visible watermarks can be removed using a good image program anyway.

I agree with sticks there, watermarks are only needed if it's an original, copyrighted ect. And the program I use can easily remove watermarks.

But if your going to have one, the hardest one to remove (out of those options) is option C, and it makes it even harder of it's not transparent. That's just from personal experience. If you want to make it near impossible to remove, put it over a corner with plenty of detail, not where there's just one color or something.
