Image Map Issues

I just made this image map of U.S. casinos for my blog:

I have two issues.

The first is the big gap between the map and the first anchor, Alabama. I get that Blogger is apparently leaving a big blank space where the map coordinates code would be if it were displayed as text, but, why is it doing that and how can I fix it?

Second, four of my state anchors aren't working. When I created the page I copy and pasted a lot of the code to be sure there would be no little mistakes causing problems like this and I've checked the code for Wisconsin, Wyoming, Texas and West Virginia and can't find any reason why the links aren't working.

Any suggestions?

I found the problem with the bad links.

I wrote the code in OpenOffice to make use of the Find/Replace feature.

Somewhere along the way the quotation marks around the bad anchors went from "" to ””. That's what caused the problem. The four links looked like ”wy” instead of "la".

I'm not sure what caused the different quotation marks. Finding out will be my next mission.

Still working on the big gap.
