QUESTION: Is there a way to make Dreamweaver save files with ".html" as the file ending instead of ".htm"?

I'm a new Dreamweaver Studio MX user and I havent found that information in the instructions yet! I am planning to redo each of the pages of an existing BUSINESS website (over 100 pages) using CSS.

Dreamweaver Studio MX saves the files using ".htm" as the default ending of the file name. So, thought I could change easily change the default to make it save pages and links as ".html" However, I dont see an easy option to make it save pages as ".html" NOT ".htm"

Thinking that if I use .htm (Dreamweaver's default) as the ending for all the pages...it will show "page unavailable" if someone types in the old page name or uses an old favorites link...ALSO since the pages have already been spidered into various search engines I dont want to loose any of the links that are currently obtainable by using engines like "Google" etc...

Figured someone here would have probably done this before and be able to coach me through it!

Thanks!

Geeze, that sounds like a great idea...Dont know why I didnt think of it, myself! LMAO

However, my reason for asking to have this be done through the Dreamweaver program rather than relying on my memory: I am new to using both Dreamweaver Studio MX and CSS.

Its easier to have things routine tasks done by default so it remains consistant, rather than rely on the human being behind the keyboard to remember things.

Search and Open MMDocumentTypes.XML and swop the extensions

winfileextension="html,htm,shtml,shtm,stm,lasso,xhtml"
