Img will not show on site

I can't get my images to show up. The image is located in the same file as the index page.
I've tried puting in the width and height and it doesn't help. The pic size is 83 x 160. 4.10KB.
Is there something I need to do to the picture?

URL to your site page with problem would be better. Also, unless "Wisconsin Dockdogs" is a true heading, it's not recommended to use the heading tags.

Double check image file name for spaces, capitals and extension being "jpg" and not "jpeg" or "JPEG/JPG" as these are not the same.

So I changed it to "jpg" in the code and it worked. When I look at it in my file it says "JPEG". Weird.
