Insert slideshow in website (created with Publisher)

Admittedly, I'm way over my head and was hoping for a little guidance. As I stated in my title, I created a website using publisher and now I'm trying to insert photos and a yearly calendar with that little slide bar at the top (that I've seen on many websites) so people can view all the months or all the photos using the front or back arrow keys. The yearly calendar and my photo slide show is currently in Powerpoint. I read somewhere about opening these files using Openoffice.org, converting it to a flash file and then putting it into my website but that still doesn't create the slide bar (if that's even what it's called) and I'm really not sure I need to use this route at all. Now do you see why I'm in over my head? Can someone tell me the best way to insert this 50 photo picture gallery and monthly calendar? I'd rather not put a link on my website to a shared photo place on the web if at all possible. Thank you, in advance, for your response.

Thank you for your response sticks464. I downloaded the left_right_click files, added my pictures and it runs perfectly on my computer, but I can't figure out how to insert this into publisher or which files to upload to the web server. I just know it's something obvious that I'm missing....

I am not a publisher user but you should be able to insert the code that is working into a publisher page code.
Then upload the publisher page and the images to the server.
