Conversion to/from ASCII value

Hello

Is it possible to convert characters to ASCII value and vice versa in HTML?

What I want to do is sending a string representing the e-mail address to a customers mailbox as a licence code for the downloaded software.

If so, would someone please point me in the right direction how to do this.
