Help I am going crazy trying to fix this! My site is deepfriedcoupons.com. When you open the home page for a brief second all the fonts load correctly. But then they change to black. Note: the center font colors that are in the center html coded page I inserted are OK. If I delete the center code page the problem is gone. I used Microsoft Expression Web 2 to create the center html coded page and then inserted into my site. I know very little about html, so I can't figure out how this center page is effecting the entire page. FYI: None of the other pages have this problem, just the home page. Has anyone every ran into this problem?
Thanks, Paula

Didn't look at page in detail, but you do have two font CSS files:

http://www.homestead.com/~media/elements/Text/font_styles_ns4.css
http://www.homestead.com/~media/elements/Text/font_styles.css

Any selector names that are used in both of them for styling will cause a problem as the second style sheet will override the first one.

If you then have made any font style changes using the embedded CSS way, that will overide any external CSS file. Lastly, if you have used any inline CSS styling for font changes, that overrides all the previous ones.

The problem is deleting duplication of style changes for same selector names.

You really need to correct these coding errors as you now have browsers operating in Quirks Mode and have lost control over how your pages look.

Thanks for the fast response. I have spent the day trying to figure out where these two files might be.(I'm new to all this. I just use Microsoft Expression Web 2 and then copy the html into my site I have hosted at homestead.com.) I have tried looking at the html on my other pages that are working to see what is the difference but that is no help.
I probably can delete my center information that I created/inserted via my Expression Web2, but I am afraid that I will continue to repeat this error.

FYI: My reason for using the Expression Web 2 for the center area is because when I add new items to my site via Homestead I have to click and drag EVERY item down to make room for the new content. I thought if I could use Expression Web I could just hit the return button and then add content.

My questions are: How do I find and then delete one CSS font file? How do I make sure that I pick the one that Homestead uses? And when using the Expression Web how do I make sure I don't cause this problem again?
Thanks you very much, Paula

Save your time. :O) I didn't figure out the problem. But I did figure out a backwards way to fix the problem. I copied the center hmtl file to Word, deleted the center content in my Expression Web 2, highlighted all the fonts while in Word to be Arial and then pasted it back to my web page that it is Expression Web2. And lastly inserted it into my Homestead web file. It works now. Yippy!
Thanks for helping me!!!

Laughing Not as elegant a solution as I expected, but, if it works, it works. Razz You're certainly welcome. Sorry I didn't get back sooner to answer your questions before you solved the problem yourself.

Have a great weekend.
