'a class' compatibility issue in IE 7, 8

Hi,

I'm having a small problem with my site.

On this site I have a few buttons that work well in Firefox, Chrome. In IE however the underlying link doesn'work.

Here's the code that isn't working in IE:

<a class="no-decore link-details" href="{{store url=""}}online-fietsenwinkel-mysite.html"><button class="button"><span><span><span>Details</span></span></span></button></a></td>

I'm working with Magento CMS by the way. Thanks for reading this and hope you can help.

Not a good idea to nest span tags. What is this part? "{{store url=""}}"

IE may be having problems with that link because it considers it a malformed link. Wont this work?:
