I do not understand same window. You are not using multiple windows so it will open in the same window.

I was afraid that might not be clear.

I have the old web page set so that when you click on a link it opens it in a new window.

When I test my new arrangement offline and I click on a link it still opens it in a new window.

When I upload it to the server and click on a new link it opens it in the SAME window. Not a NEW window like I want.

That's what I don't understand.

It seems like it might be somehow connected with tables since I decided to test it by recreating the same appearance using the code directly imbedded in a table instead of PHP including it. In both cases, clicking on a link opens it in the same window instead of opening it in a new window.

Thanks,

Vardiss

To open in a new window you target _blank

Yes, I know about target_blank. That's how I got all those pages to open in new windows.

What I don't understand it why those pages with all the links with the target_blank command:
1) work fine before I put them in frames
2) also work fine after I put them in frames when I test them OFFLINE

But DON'T work when I upload the exact same page I tested offline. When they're uploaded the pages with target_blank links in frames open in the SAME window.

The work offline in frames but not online.

Weird. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Vardiss

Well, I figured out a work-around. Then I forged ahead and finished the whole update. Whew.

Many thanks again for all your help!
