switch the image backgound of a cell

Hello, so here it is...
I have a table of 3 cols. On the first one I have a text menu, on the second one an image which changes on roll over the text menu and on the third one I have a background image.
I would like to switch that background image to another one when I pass my mouse over the text menu...
Any idea?
Please HELP ME!

It has to be compatible with IE6 and +, NN4.7 and +, Firefox, Mozilla ...
