Pulling my hair out.... Coreyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! lol CGI scriptin

I have left my other problem alone, I'm done with it until I am able to get some follow ups. My new problem is I downloaded a simple chat script. It gave me a few headaches, but had step by step instructions. I finally got it to where the page will pull up, to get it to do so, I have to Not allow "write" permissions, In order to use the script, I MUST have write permissions allowed, when I reset the permissions to allow it, the page starts to pull up then throws a 500 error at me...

right now I have the permissions set for "write" as I'm called to do by the script. Thank you in advance for your insight and hopefully saving me some hair....

IWDN might be able resource. I never messed with CGI in my entire life actually.
