Third table at bottom, spanning width HELP =(

I'm a novice web designer working on a site for a flooring company. I've hit a bit of a hitch in trying to do two separate things. First, the link:

Please keep in mind that's a test page. Click on anything else and it won't act as it should.

1) The imagemap on the left once touched the top.gif when I had the site in frames. Is there any way to eliminate that white separation so that the two images are flush? I've asked the graphics designer to create a different graphic that could be split, but the owner likes the logo. If I can fix it that would be better.

2) If you noticed, in order to view all the species of wood, you have to scroll waaaaay down past the links and into whiteness. I'd like to cut the table off at the bottom of the left graphic and just create a white field below spanning the whole width of the page. I'm not too familiar with tables, so I got as far as adding in what you see there now...how would I tweak it to add that third cell?

Looking for it to be like this
