Create a google Sitemap and submit it to them. Be patient and have good, quality content and don't spam. I think Godaddy has a search engine booster as well - I never used it but it might be worth a shot

Godaddy is the best! I like it. Cheap and with high quality. So that booster service has to be ok.

A lot of people would tend to disagree with DMOZ. Considering the recent issues that it has had and its editors, I would not consider trying. If you do some searches on DMOZ, especially at the Digital Point Forums, you will see the problems that has plagued that directory.

I agree with you the DMOZ is really losing its popularity, but several search engines like Google, yahoo give upmost importance to websites listed in DMOZ .Crying or Very sad

Suppose if your website is Netherland based, and you manage to get a website listed in Netherland regional section of Google , your website will capture top rankings within shortest time possible in regional google.nl. It works in similar fashion for all other regions around the globe.

Google has a directory which pulls results from DMOZ so there is a deep linkage between these two.

The DMOZ is working as a benchmark for Google, and Yahoo, although getting a website listed in DMOZ really sucks you inside out, but still I would prefer you to submit to DMOZ Rolling Eyes

I had a listing with DMOZ and placed their url on my site and then all of a sudden they dropped my site, does anyone know the reason for this? I have resubmitted and hopefully they will pick it up again. I did change the design of my site, maybe thats why they dropped me.

DMOZ has gone through a lot of changes - some say they are not as good as they used to be. Submit it and then work on other things.
