sitemaps

how often should sitemaps be created? ie. if I update the site or add a new page should I do a new sitemap, also should each page have a sitemap? thanks.

Are you referring to the XML sitemap that Google, Yahoo, Ask, and MSN uses to help spider your website?

If so, the sitemap should be updated every time you update the page or add a page. This will help the search engine(s) know your content has been updated / changed.

Hi Corey,

thanks for the response. That is what I was referring to. How is the best way to generate a sitemap or what would you recommend? Just to let you know I'm a newbie at this and I've been working with expression web.. Thanks

I use GSitecrawler. I noticed in Vista that you need to right click and choose Run as Administrator to help bypass the UAC.
