Link Colors & Underlines

I'm using yahoo sitebuilder and the only thing that's really bothering me right now are the text links. It automatically underlines the text, turns it blue, and locks those properties. I'm trying to live with the underlined text, but it won't let me change the color from blue to a simple solid black. It says that the hex code has been selected but it doesn't show up. I tried redoing the hex in html but no results. So, I've had to change it to a charcoal color but I'm not pleased. Does anyone know how to unlock the underlining and ugly blue color when putting links into text? Thanks a bunch!

p.s. if anyone knows how to use OsCommerce please message me because I'm lost.

Can you edit a CSS file? Pseudo Classes are what you need to use.

For osCommerce, that is PHP - you should have a basic understanding of HTML before diving into a server side language.
