Hello everybody, im not sure if i am att the right place or even the right forum for my question.
I've been working with a project for some time now, I'm building a help system for a new software.
Recently all the writing (in html help workshop) was done and i thought so was the help system.
The problem is that when i click a "help button" in the new software the compiled help system opens and the right dokument pops up. But it shows the index, not the table of contents. For some dokuments it works just fine and i cant find any difference why they work but most of them dont!
I want the help system to open with the table of contents.
What should i do?

Unfortunately I don't think we are going to be able to help you but maybe offer some advice. What are you using to compile? The page that is opening, is it referenced somewhere?

Ok,
When you say "What do you use to compile" do you mean with what program? I'm using "Html help worksshop" and when i compile i press compile and select "help.hhp" then the CHM file is updated.
"The page that is opening, is it referenced somewhere?"
I'm not sure what you mean but the program uses the index names when linking from buttons, i.e "help system overview"
But it do works for some of the dokuments.
I'm sorry about the stupid questions but I'm a real n00b |

| I think HTML Help Workshop is a Microsoft product? You could try asking here, that forum is more specifically for help authoring, which is what you need. |
