If no sites link to you then Google will not index your site. This could be the problem. To find out which sites are linking to put the following in Google search:

link:www.yoursite.com

Make sure you have atleast 2 sites that are indexed in Google linking to yours.

when my news sites go live they are usually registered in Google after a matter of days. The reason is I have a good network of other, trustworthy sites lnking to it.

you can get inbound links to your site by creating a press release on PRWeb.com. This cost $ but will help get you started.
