If you have a good hosting site, that Utility is part of the Control Panel for your account. CPanel X or VDecl or whatever the control panel is called that your hosting service uses.

phpBB may have a module for IP Banning that you can install. If not on there site, might search for a module.

Did you look through those sites as some of the code is PHP and would work for you probably with little modifications.

lol yeah mate, ive look thru them, but there not quite what im looking for mate, one of my idea's is to put a hidden feild on my login page with echo $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"]; inside the hidden feild, which i hope would then log the user ip into the sql database with user details, what do you think

Well, I don't mess with PHP that much, but I'm sure that is doable. I just thought you might modify one of those scripts. Maybe one of these:

ASP Security Systems
ASP - IIS real-time monitor and log
Web IP Logger / Banning Security Tool

I should have mention ASP and PHP don't work together. Razz Sorry about that. Please DO post back if you come up with a nice script that works for you. Always helps others who may be keeping track of this topic.

Sorry I couldn't be much help on what you want to do. Might try posting in the right forum section on the following sites:

hya guys, after a lot of looking around, i couldnt find anything of much use, so i decided to start writing my own ip loging/banning script, so far i have created the loging section, which seems to work well, ive based it on jpmaster77's login system, so the script will need editing for other login systems, but it shouldnt be to hard to accomplish, i will keep you posted on the progress and ill post all the scripts when there finished,
