adress bar

My address bar won't let me just put yahoo.com or google.com
I have to put in http:/www.yahoo.com???????????
Anybody know how to fix this? It was working earlier today makes me think some setting is wrong....Any help would be great...Thanks

Try selecting Tools -> options from internet explorer. Go to programs tab and select reset web settings.

If this doesn't work then you maybe on the wrong forum because this is a web developers forum as opposed to general technical help.
