Opening a NON pop-up window in a specific size

Is there a way to have a page that opens without the buttons, in a specific size, without going the pop-up route? Everything I do to my index.html page seems to mess it up. I'd like to have one of the links open to a size of 600 x 500. Actually, it can have the buttons, I'm more concerned with the page size.
