I have a form/table that is not aligning to the right in the Firefox browser. It is fine in Internet Explorer browser. I have reviewed the HTML code and am not sure what I can do to correct this.

Any suggestions?

I am am using a template from Website Tonight that allows me to add or edit HTML. It mostly acts as WYSISYG... but there is an editor within it that you can modify.

The form is made up of a javascript that allows visitors to enter their name and email address and send it to my autorepsonder. The form has also a table (so it looks professional).

The form is supposed to be right aligned on the website. When it appears in internet explorer it looks perfect. When it appears in firefox browser it
aligns right.

the folks at website tonight (who don't support any html we add ourselves) suggested that Firefox must not like something in the html code that is making it not follow the code to align right.

(I hope I explained this okay?)

You will need to provide the source code - if you cannot edit the HTML source code, there is not too much you will be able to do.

Hi Jason,
and my best wishes for Your jobs.

Looking at the very first post, Birthday of Dato Ling
it look the same with me; tested on:

IE 7

Netscape Navigator 9

Mozilla Firefox

Maybe it is matter of font size (character) You have set as default in
Internet Explorer Browser.

default font-size:
---------------------
Menù Bar; View => Text Size

default font-type:
---------------------
Menù Bar; Tools => Internet Options => General/Main Tab => Characters button

(I have them in Italian Laguage, though).

Blogger.com Template defines both the Font-type and the font-size; this last may get affected by Browser setting, yet.

PostPosted: Tue May 13, 2008 7:31 pm     blogger.com IE NN FF Reply with quote

Hi Jason,
I have seen, now.

In NN9 and FFox I see the whole Your blog all-in-one very long page, with every data You updated via post; as shown one after the others.
A few pictures appear as half-cut, too; "History" and "Francissca Peter", in example.

In IE7 instead, I get the same long page, without half-cut images AND WITH huge a font-size affecting Yours "Artiste that I have work with" and following ones, and in sidebar as well.
This page at here, as usual Blogger address:
http://www.jasongeh.blogspot.com/
=
Things change if You go choosing under "All about Jason Geh" in sidebar, You get shorter a page showing each Your updating at time, well shaped a page also in I Explorer,
AND WITH AT THE VERY BOTTOM, a link Older Post allowing to browse all the blog through.
Such a page at here, instead:
http://jasongeh.blogspot.com/2008/05/jason-geh-biography.html
http://jasongeh.blogspot.com/2008/05/awards.html
Of course this also works well in NN and FF.

Those " / " slashes mean those pages beeing stored in sub-folders;
so, the lack seems to affect the "root" only.

Thanks for replying.

Yes, you're right. The erratic fonts sizes only affects the root of the blog in IE, and the sub pages seems fine. Any solutions to rectify, so that my root page will look as how it's intended look?

Hi again,

I've manage to rectify the problem. Take a look.

http://www.jasongeh.blogspot.com

I could not have done it without you pointing out that the sub pages were fine.

I checked each sub-pages individually and discovered that only certain sub-pages were affected by the problem. So I went in to edit those particular pages and found that there were certain "span" html codes that were causing the problem. I took it out and re-publish it and it was ok!

Thank you so much!

Jason Geh
