I'm having problems where I put in some text and it appears

like
this

instead of a straight line as so. Why?

What's the source code? Do you have the text in an HTML element that has a width?

Yeah the code is this:

Code:

<p style="color:sienna; margin-left:175px; font-size:12px; font-family:verdana; font-weight:normal;">Hey all. This is a test page I have made using CSS/HTML. Just trying out some stuff.</p>

I don't think you got what Cory meant. What contaier is the <p> tag in, and could it possibly be that that container has a width pretty close to the 175px of left margin you are using on the <p>?

Hi. I actually got it fixed. Now I have problems where the paragraph isn't spaced out. How can I space out the lines so it's more readable? They're just bunched into each other now.

Apply line-height:20px to the paragraph style. You can change the 20px to whatever works for you. You can also apply letter-spacing:5px to space the lettering of the paragraph (changing the 5px of course).

Yes, got that. Thanks. Now my prob is the paragraph itself. It won't go across the page. Lol. It goes halfway only. How do I fix that?
