Most tutorial sites i've seen use <TR> with <TD> to build their sample table.

But i've seen tables that use more than those tags. So what's <TBODY>, <THEAD> & <TFOOT> for ?

Check out The <tbody> tag, The <tfoot> tag, The <thead> tag.

Keep in mind that tables are supposed to be used to display tabular data on a website. A lot of people still use tables for placement since they were easy to use. Now most people use divs (CSS) for placement

Tables are easy for you? Shocked

I tried using tables for my layout.......i gave up and use frames and iframes instead.

Frames are even harder because of the targets - please most search engines do not like them
