Hi,
I’m working on another version of our website and the site displays perfectly across all browsers.
Each page pretty much consists of a single table layout because I had my fair share of alignment issues when I was working with nested tables. With other words, an image placed in a nested table wouldn’t properly align with the main menu above, etc.
Now, everything aligns perfectly, however, following this approach, I have to split certain cells into multiple cells to host the secondary navigation menu and page content.
Now the visual guides in Dreamweaver display 760 (180) as values for the column, whereas 760 px was the original width of the column and 180 px the new width.
I am sure my approach is not textbook, but should I worry about this?
As much as I would love to move forward with the site, I want to learn from this experience and do this properly.
Can you please take a look at the following pages and let me know what you think? I would really appreciate it.

Thank you so much! |

Thanks for your response Corey. I guess what I am interested to understand is whether or not my use of a single table layout, rather than using a number of nested tables, is acceptable and proper.
Maybe you can take a look at the two pages to let me know if something stands out. |

Less is more when it comes to using tables. Of course, tables should not be used to layout a website if you want to get down and dirty about it
As far as your code, you could use divides to help lay your website instead. Also, you are using XHTML which wants you to close all tags.
