Most flash files are copyrighted and are not suppose to be easy to download. If you have permission to use the flash file, then which site are you having problems with in downloading?

the easiest way is to find a mp3 player for web. google it and hope you can find one.

By the way if you want to player video on your site you can try playerbox or use jw directly. google them or visit http://www.player-box.com

I think you want to edit your youtube video in moviemaker. Yes moviemaker do not support FLV and the only way is to convert it to wmv or some regular format. But what do you want of this video? you want to edit it and then put it into web again? Or you want to see it in your computer?

If you want to put it to web again I do not suggest you to convert it. Because after you edit it you need to convert to flv back to play in web. I suggest you to try a flv editor - moyea flv editor ultimate. Try it and it also has a free version.

I have a few confuised about your question, you want to player a SWF file or your swf is a player and to FLV file. I do not know any web player can play SWF file if you know one please tell me. But if you need to play FLV file I suggest you try moyea playerbox. You can use it to make a player and generate a html file for you. You can just copy the generated code to embed your video directly.

But when you embed your video to page I suggest you to use the absolutly path instead of the relative path. Mostly if you find your player not show or video not show they mostly caused by the above reason. Hope will help.

Even using an HTML 4.01 Transitional document type, there were lots of attributes flagged that were not recognized. The media code being used may be highly specific, but Firefox does not tolerate sloppy coding.

Your document title states "Created by Camtasia Studio 2" and the call in the media code to a player program may not be installed for Firefox or FF doesn't know where to find it since there is no file type association.

I would recommend finding a generic media code to use. Or contact the people at TechSmith.com for ideas of the problem.

There's not much I can do to check it as the media file path is a relative path and not a full one.

You're welcome. I use JavaScript to just write in the embed tag for the player so it validates ok. Firefox should be compatible with the object tags. It could be the CLSID used or the media player code. I have noticed that it has the problem you mentioned with only the object tags at times.

Flash banner are modern digital advertising method to get links at website. You can take the help of www.IWIinfotech.com which provides flash banners which are animated to give professional look at website. It helps to adjust transparency of your text and pictures. I have also used their flash banner service for my website.
No where in your code do I see a float attribute.

Use the w3c validator and css validator. Your markup and css is extremely bloated. 26 errors in the html, 9 errors in the css and it could be reduced in weight by using css shorthand.

Also look into swfObject.

WOW, http://www.reflections.co.uk/hk/loader.html looks very good. Just remove the language="JavaScript" attributes as that is an outdated one and only the type="" is used. Strange the validator didn't flag that.

radams wrote:

Hi
Tried that
had tried that already, but that is an old page

from my experience page won't validate, with X/HTML
unless i put flash on the page with JS
still no joy

Only the embed tag needs to be put on with JavaScript. Embed tag is not a "real" tag and never has been accepted, but there is media code that will work in all browsers without it. Since you use JS for all embedding, no problem except for Viewers that have JS turned off.

Good job.

Greetings: I need a simple 3 image (simple fade transition between images) splash page with an auto redirect at end of 3rd image displayed to my home.html page. Obviously I'll be using my own 3 images.

Ideally I'd like to have a "skip intro and enter site" hyper-linked text or button (simpler the better)in a fixed position underneath each image to allow the visitor to skip the splash page and enter my site directly.

If the visitor chooses to view the 3 image splash page then I'd like an auto direct option that redirects the visitor to my home page without further action of the visitor.

I'd like a simple white background.

I don't know flash and need to keep this solution as simple as possible.

Can anyone assist? Thanks.
