Why don't you zip your site and send it to me so I can see the hierarchy and make corrections in the includes path.

I see you have made some additions. The validator needs to be used to identify errors (there are some duplicate id's being used). This has nothing to do with the google results but will ensure your site works in all browsers.

I finally got the left nav bar in place however, on my two CSS heavy pages it is totally shifting the layout, especially on my form page. Do you have any idea why?

I can see them on the page itself without looking at source code. The characters appear in two place on your page. May have been some quirk in the editor or the uploader, but just delete them as they are easily seen in source view, too, as you've noticed.

I got similar characters from an old HTML Editor which did not use ANSI encoding. Some pages were messed up big time.

Some coding errors you might want to fix since you are coding to XHTML 1.0:

Definitely a 403 . Your Web server thinks that the HTTP data stream sent by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) was correct, but access to the resource identified by the URL is forbidden for some reason.

This indicates a fundamental access problem, which may be difficult to resolve because the HTTP protocol allows the Web server to give this response without providing any reason at all. So the 403 error is equivalent to a blanket 'NO' by your Web server - with no further discussion allowed.

By far the most common reason for this error is that directory browsing is forbidden for the Web site. Most Web sites want you to navigate using the URLs in the Web pages for that site. They do not often allow you to browse the file directory structure of the site.

Do you have content in the public access directory and do you have a properly named home page? f your entire Web site is actually secured in some way (is not open at all to casual Internet users), then an 401 - Not authorized message could be expected. It is possible, but unlikely, that your Web server issues an 403 message instead.

Some Web servers may also issue an 403 error if they at one time hosted your site, but now no longer do so and can not or will not provide a redirection to a new URL. In this case it is not unusual for the 403 error to be returned instead of a more helpful error. So if you have recently changed any aspect of your Web site setup (e.g. switched ISPs), then a 403 message is a possibility. Obviously this message should disappear in time - typically within a week or two - as the Internet catches up with whatever change you have made.

I think it has to do with some change you made to your .htacess file.

Yeah, if you don't want to bother too much into learning programming, SSI is the way to go.

I have not messed with MS Publisher ever to do a website. Have you checked out the Microsoft Discussion Groups? There you will find some people who are experienced in MS Publisher and might understand it more.
