I know Math functions in general can be used in HTML, but:
1. Can they be incorporated into tables and forms?
2. Can they be used across cells in a table or form?

ie: cell 1 has a 2 in it, and cell 2 has a 3 in it...

Can I tell cell 3 to add the values in cells 1 & 2 and have the sum (5) appear in cell 3 ?

3. Can I have the user dynamically change the values in the first two cells at will so cell 3 will automatically display the new sum?
4. Is there a scroll bar or data box with arrows so the user can dynamically change the values in the first two cells resulting in new value in cell 3 ?

Is there such a thing in HTML, or am I asking for Nirvana here?

Corey, do you know of such a thing?

Thanks,

Can I use math functions in Tables and Forms?

For instance... I have two parameters:

Tidal Volume (how much we breathe in each breath) and Frequency (the number of breaths we take each minute).
Both are presently in a Table - each in it's own cell. I want to use HTML (or CSS) and multiply them together to get a third parameter:
Minute Ventilation (the amount we breath in each minute).

How do I do that?

To see what I'm working on, please go to:

http://www.youcanreadebooks.com/Ventilation.html
(The link will be active for just a couple of days)
Tidal Volume is listed as Vt.
Frequency is listed as f.
Minute Ventilation is listed as Ve.

Thanks a zillion,
