I don't want anyone to be able to steal the images that I post. And I know this can be done because I tried to save a picture once and it wouldn't let me. I don't even care if it is as simple as disabling a right click on the image or complicated as using Area onClick. I just can't find this info as to how to do it.
Any suggestions??? |

Ok, so I could do that.
I think I remember in College when I took a night class on Java (which I missed more often than not) that you could use Java to load an image in an Applet on the page. I don't remember how to do this anymore... but in this case with right -click disabled would they still be able to view the image with JavaScript disabled? If they want to search through my source code then i guess they want the photo badly enough they can have it.
If that would get arround the Java being disabled, do you know what the code would be for loading images on the page in Applets?
Another thing I might be able to do, is have the people coming to the page have to enter some kind of password to access the site... Could I do this? and how?
This is not a photo copyright issue or anything, so if they want to hack the password or view the source code then, I don't really care. These photos are of my daughter and I'd really rather a certain few people I know not have pictures of my daughter. I would just send these pictures to the people I want to have them through email but I have to send only a few at a time because people have different size mailboxes, you know. It's starting to be a hassle that way and I feel like a Spammer! lol! I'd rather just post all the pictures and email the link to the page. |

I do not mess with Java at all. With the problems between Microsoft and Sun - I tend to even steer clear of java based sites. Plus you can take a screen shot to get the photo

| Why don't you just make a directory and upload your pictures there? You don't have to construct a page with the images, you can just upload your pictures and lead them to the directory. |
