PostPosted: Fri Oct 13, 2006 11:57 am     Navbar w/ Javascript not showing up. Reply with quote

I used the insert SSi in Dreamweaver's menu.

The navbar contains drop downs.
The heading does not contain the javascript for the buttons. DO i need to insert that?

Did I do this correctly?

This is the file to include. (Its in my root folder.)

Here is where I tried to insert the ssi code.
http://www.wiltoncordrey.com/testnav.htm

When I view source it wants to refer to it as a frame. (?)

How are you including the file? Only the main page needs to be ASP, SHTML, SHTM, PHTML, PHTM, or PHP or parsed as such. The other files - it is actually better if they are HTML files so they are not parsed

Error Mesage

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0138'
Nested Script Block
/SSI/navbar.htm, line 11
A script block cannot be placed inside another script block.

Is there something I need to do, or my host?

(I have Javascript in this file, does SSI have any problems with javascript?)

http://www.wiltoncordrey.com/testnav.asp

The page is an asp file. The ssi file is .htm, (Shud b html?)

You have a page that you are including everything, right? What is the source code of that file and what is the name of that file? It needs to be parsed but all other files do not.

This is with the navbar files in the page, not the navbar ssi.

Are you using JavaScript to include? I saw
Code:
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript">mmLoadMenus();</script>
but I did not see any type of include statement

In my last post I mentioned that I was using the navabr files themselves, actually putting them in the page. I dint use the ssi technique...I am not sure how. Sorry for the confusion there. I assume the javascript is for the dropdowns created in dw.

http://www.wiltoncordrey.com/wood/britdine.asp

The thumb in top left will not go to its product. This is an asp thumbnail page.

http://www.wiltoncordrey.com/wood/britdine.htm

This an htm page of the same thing. It will go to its product.

This has a popupwin script. Is there a conflict with asp and popupwin?
or am I just overlooking something.

Thanks . This is not SSI related, wasnt sure where to post.

Sorry then I am really confused. Are you referring to a pop-up then maybe created by JavaScript? I do not really use JavaScript all that much but you might have better luck posting in that topic area
