I may have asked before, but i can't find it!

Is the hosting that you advertise as good as it sounds? (Anywherehost) - it seems very inexpensive, and your site runs plenty fast enough

Thanks for the feedback (and the forum).

First I would like to mention that this site receives over 25,000 unique visitors per day. So I host this site at Anywherehost on a dedicated server. But I also have 7 sites on a shared server at Anywherehost. They run just as fast.

Concerning your comment about inexpensive: Yes, the hosting is inexpensive, but I am sure you can find other hosting companies with lower rates - that's not the point. The point is that the president himself answers the phone when you call in for support. I hosted this site on Lunarpages, which is another good hosting company, for a while, but they finally said they would no longer host it due to the traffic. They did not offer a solution for me. Anywherehost on the other hand provided support every step of the way allowing my site to grow, and gave me all the expert support I needed.

If you have a simple site with few visitors, I'm sure you would be able to survive by hosting your site with another company, but if you have a site that you will be developing with server side scripts and the potential for a large amount of traffic I definitely recommend Anywherehost.

Anyway, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Ciao!

Thanks very much, zylstra,

I don't need server side scripts, but my traffic doubles, approximately, month by month, and I'm going to need much more bandwidth soon.

A genuine testimonial such as yours is worth a million ads! Very Happy

P.S. I'll be sure to use your 'affiliate link' ! Cool

Anywherehost looks like a good option. I am looking for a new hosting provider. Mine is down all the time

I use hostingrevolution.com (i think they are a reseller) but whatever they are they have a really decent uptime with a lot of the usual features....

Its only $3 a month and provides 10gb bandwidth, php, mysql, fantastico.

The one thing I would note though is that the one time my site was down I happened to mention it to the support guy (i reckon this is a one man outfit) and he wasn't exactly sociable.

Awsome for once in a million years I think I have found my host I am so pickie lol. K well only one problem I don't know what there payment methods are and wether they accept canadian cheques/moneyorders I couldn't find any billing support on there site and the way you can email them for support is if you have an account and I don't want to call them right now.

Umm... zylstra would it be possible for you to email them for me from your account about this or if you know or know a place I can go to, to find out could you please do that thanks so much. Ya godaddy.com didn't work out lol.

If you can email them for me I tell me and I will write up a email and PM it to you or you can write it for me.

Thanks Oy.

P.S. do you host your domain with them or a differen't company if so which is that?
