I Need The Html Code To Build An Auction Template.

I have been trying to learn for the last six months how to build website templates, auction templates, web banners, etc. I have found some sites on it, but it might as well have been written in alien for all that I understood it. I understand I need a code to build the auction template. Do I need a code to build a website. How do I make banners. Some told me something about having to buy a graphics program like psp, but they are way out of my budget. There are any free graphic programs I can use and how do I use them. I honestly, have no clue about this stuff. I love to learn new things and thought this would be wonderfully interesting to learn, but I am beyond frustrated six months later. Can any one give me the codes and advice. I have tried some free auction templates and banner makers I found on the net, but they just don’t do all that I need them to do. It seems like you need to practice somewhat while learning HTML and CSS. I would recommend getting a free hosting site like bravenet.com. They have the templates to choose from, the online web editor for the pages, tools galore like forums, guestbooks, etc.

Trying to teach you how to use any graphics program by forum posts will be an exercise in futility because of the time involved.

As for banners, there are lots of free online banner maker tools. This site will generate some nice banners from templates, even animated ones: FreeBanner! Online. This site allows you to upload your own background image and customize it: Free Banners

As for the free templates, they are usually so full of errors that they will never be validated by the validator at w3c.org. Plus, they use tables. A big no-no. Tables are for tabular data and not for page layouts.
