Enlarge Thumbnail - BASIC HTML

I'm not the "sharpest knife in the drawer" when it comes to HTML. I'm a graphic designer whose dabbled in web design a bit and knows just about enough to be dangerous. So I leave it to the pros and use free templates that designers have shared.

Having said that - my twin sister is getting married and asked me to do her site. I've got most of it but can't get my EXTREMELY simple photo gallery to work. The site design is a very stylish free template.

All I need is the most BASIC and SIMPLE code to make the thumbnail on the left enlarge into the frame on the right when clicked. Any help would be hugely appreciated!
