Hi everyone

I have an affiliate website - I am not promoting it here (as I would look like a right eejit!).

At the moment - it is set up as www.guruassassinrevealed.com/guruassassin.htm. I want to change it so that it is just www.guruassassinrevealed.com.

A very kind guy at another forum told me that I need to use index.html. I have tried and retried, read the tutorial on filezilla but am still getting an error message.

Can anyone please help me. I have the code in notepad and I have a temp password on my ftp access but otherwise I am lost Rolling Eyes

Anybody feel like giving me a quick guide on how to do this please, thanks

Naming your Web Pages should help.

If you want the browser to default to guruassassin.htm, you need to contact your hosting company and this can be set up via the server. Otherwise, you need to rename it.

Corey's right. If renaming doesn't work, you'll have to contact server admin to do some configs that he should have done already.

Weird though, index.html should be the default file of any Apache setup by default.

What exactly was the error message?
