I would like to know how to make a table so that people can click on a link in one cell, and only have the link open in another cell, while the rest of the webpage remains the same.
here is an example of where this is done
if you click on artwork or comics, the link opens up in the bottom-most cell

I did look at the source-code, but I don't have experience at this and I could not figure out how it was done. |

The page is not opening in a table cell.
That site has used a standard theme or template for their pages.
Meaning that all the pages use the same structure and they just change the content for the different topics (artwork, comics etc.)
Basically, they have a webpage for every link. |

no, I don't mean that.
here is a better way oi visualizing what I want to do.
Say you've made a table that is divided into two quadrants, a left quadrant and a right quadrant.
There are links listed in the left quadrant.
When the links in the left quadrant are clicked on by the mouse a new window is not opened, instead, the link opens in the right quadrant of the same table. |

| Sounds like a hidden div or an iframe |

| oh degsy I didn't see your reply. I see what you mean, I think. A whole new page is being opened, but it just looks like one section of it is changing because everything else is loading the same image as the last webpage |
