Question Hi . I'm a newbie. I tried the table tutor, but I'm doing something wrong at least I tried!
I am making a table that is 500 pix wide with two columns and three rows. I am noob and am having some trouble. I am trying to split the second row into a 300 px wide column and then a 200 px wide column. I am having the worst time getting it in order! I tried the table tutor, but I'm doing something wrong.

You need to use the colspan attribute to span across columns or merge cells

<table width="500" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5">
  <tr>
    <td colspan="2">Single Row </td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td width="300">300px cell </td>
    <td>200px cell </td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td colspan="2">Single Row </td>
  </tr>
